Anna's works explore facets of human existance, tapping into thoughts and emotions that become gradually revealing layers..."

Contemporary artist Anna Leary's work "hovers between abstract and representational", creating an initial visual and emotional impact through strong colours and textures and then holding attention through intriguing layers of ideas and expressions.

The 2000 Toss Woollaston Visual Arts Scholarship winner and 2002 Bachelor of Visual Arts graduate considers herself an emerging artist. That epithet will not last long though as her accessibly-priced work is already in constant demand and with up to four exhibitions a year, her talents are rapidly becoming widely known and appreciated.

Anna's works explore facets of human existance, tapping into thoughts and emotions that become gradually revealing layers of oil & acrylic, her preferred medium of expression.

Her works are available at key Nelson venues like Reflections Gallery in the World of Wearable Arts and Collectable Cars Complex.
